After collecting Modern British Art for more than forty years, I
have launched my own website recently to offer some works for
sale. This includes works I have owned personally for many
years, including some bought by me as long ago as the 1970s.

I have long had an interest in this group of artists, which included John Cooper, Elwin Hawthorne, Harold Steggles, W J Steggles, Brynhild Parker, and Henry Silk. They and others exhibited together as the East London Group during the 1930s. David Buckman has been interested in them for even longer and his much anticipated book on this group of under-rated artists is due to be published later this year. Do keep an eye out for it. |
